Serve2Cure: A Rally to Ace Cancer
Our first annual tournament took place June 23-25 of 2011 and was a huge SUCCESS. Thanks to all our players, sponsors, donors and supporters we gave $20,000 to the American Cancer Society. This year we will work to exceed that donation in an effort to conquer cancer through our mission: to provide a fun, competitive tennis tournament to raise money & awareness for cancer research!
We all play at different clubs, at different levels, and in different communities. For this tournament we need to all come together, as a tennis community and as a community of friends. For this tournament, we need to all be on the "same team" in order to defeat cancer! As a fellow player, pro, or friend of the game, we need you to rally to support Serve2Cure in any way possible.
In the game of tennis or in the game of life, how we serve determines our return. As we rally to ace cancer, we are serving to cure our family, our friends, our neighbors, and countless others who are fighting this deadly disease. Please join us again in 2012!
We believe the return will be amazing!

Serve2Cure was developed by a group of friends in Mt. Lebanon in 2011! This June 22-24 will be our 2nd annual charity tennis event. The weekend will include many levels of amateur tennis, featured pro matches, a chinese auction, raffles, refreshments and plenty of fun. Our goal is to rally our region's tennis community in an effort to show our strength against cancer! All of our proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society (ACS.)
Players can participate in up to two events including: Men's Open Doubles (USTA sanctioned), Women's Doubles, Men's Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Senior's Doubles & Mixed. The levels being offered for doubles range from 2.5-4.5. Any divisions with fewer than 4 entries will be automatically moved to the next higher level. A USTA ranking is not necessary, but if you are ranked, please play in your ranking level or the level above. If you are not ranked by the USTA, please self-rate and play where you feel you can compete. Also, if you don't have a partner we will help you find one!
Putting together any charity event takes a lot of help! We need financial support in order to execute a high-quality charity tennis tournament; one that will produce a significant amount of money that we can give directly to the American Cancer Society (ACS.)
Therefore, please consider sponsoring Serve2Cure 2012. We worked hard to provide options for every level of giving. Please know that your generosity, at whatever level, will be greatly appreciated and will provide you with as much return on investment as we can possibly provide!

Cancer affects individuals and families, but it also affects us as a community. How can you help? There are so many ways you can be a part of Serve2Cure. Besides financial sponsorship we are also in need of many things that will help to ensure that we put on a premier charity event. Please download our tournament one-sheet to post at your club, your place of business, or your school. Also, please email it to your friends and help us spread the word! If you are in the media, please download our press release and consider featuring us in your publication. Every bit of exposure helps us raise funds to fight cancer!
Do you have a product that you would love to showcase in our basket raffle or chinese auction? Everything counts, whether large or small, and your support is worthy of a thousand "thank-you(s)!"
If you have any questions about the Serve2Cure tennis tournament in regards to the facilities, courts, or registration, please contact Hank Hughes, tournament director, at 412-343-3411.
